I have one w/ a light colored maple stock and it shoots under 1". Never had any extraction problem, some of the problems are possibly caused by handloads that are a little too warm. My rifle has a little oversized chamber and leaves very small rings around the body of the cases.(even with factory loads) Any scope will fit, I have a 50 mm scope on mine. Need extra high rings. I'm going to take off the big scope and mount a smaller one.
