There is also a website for federal projects by location. I don't remember exactly what the address is though. Most of the fed jobs occurring in Alaska will have a public notice or invitation to bid in the Anchorage Daily News (the 2nd link posted above), the Juneau Empire or the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (

The job outlook for the state is pretty strong this year, though housing construction is on the decline from several "boom" years. Still a lot going on, but not quite as much as in the past 5 or 6 years.
Before heading out on a hunting trip, it is very important to understand the requirements of residency for tags, regs requiring guides for certain species for non-residents, areas that are hunt by permit only, or subsistence areas that have additional restrictions.
