CVA guns were made by Armi San Marcos before American Western Arms bought the company from Carlos San Marcos. After that buy out the CVA guns became brass frame only made by Pietta. Brass frame guns are not considered viable for a conversion cylinder to shoot cartridges. Anyway.... the Pietta logo is stamped on their guns in the form of FAP inside a diamond. The San Marcos logo I don't remember. I'd know it if I saw it. It has ASM in it I believe. CVA could tell you who made your gun by knowing the proof date that is stamped on the gun somewhere. The newest one I know of would be a BT for 2003. BS for 2002. BP for 2001. The proof marks go back as far as 1954 that I have. Anywhooo....CVA has been selling only brass framers for a good number of years so your gun may be brass and brass is not recommended for conversion to cartridge. Steel frame only for conversion cylinders. If the gun you have is steel framed then it would be a San Marcos manufactured gun. In all probability if the San Marcos conversion cylinder isn't listed as sold then the Uberti conversion cylinder may be a good fit to it.
