There's nothing on CZ's site yet, but that rumor is going around. I've never been much of a rimfire fan except for the standard 22 lr. offering, preferring to load a center fire for varmints, but lots of folks are out shooting the 17's and with the right advertising the 5mm probably would have sold much better. As for now it's up against some big compitition. We'll see how it shakes out. I shoot a lot of the 22 lr. ammo and for plinking it's still the least expensive way to go.

Personally I'll stick with the 204 Ruger. It has much more reach than any of the rimfire offerings and if you reload the costs are quite close. I also like the way I can tailor a centerfire for accuracy where your stuck with what comes from the factory for rimfire cartridges. For the non-reloader the 5mm should make a dandy 150 yard ground squirrel gun.
