It will be apparent that this is my first post. However, I am not new to firearms and I've had my share of forum experience. I tried various searches but was unable to find the information I seek (3rd paragraph down).

I had a NY CCP back in the mid '70's. Prior to that, I carried an M-1 Carbine, .38 revolver (a Colt, if memory serves) and an M-79 Grenade Launcher overseas.

Been in Florida since '82 and it's a lot more gun-friendly than NY! C'mon down!!

I'm purchasing a S&W Model-327 TRR8 hand gun. It's a .357. In the past I have enjoyed rifles of the same calibers as my hand guns (22 Mag, 9mm, 22LR, etc.). With the purchase of the TRR8, I'd like to get a rifle chambered in .357 Mag. My requirements are simple: Reliable, accurate, low-maintenance and inexpensive.

Seriously, any suggestions, comments or links to prior threads on the subject will be appreciated.
