A friend had one in 1957 and we used to plink a lot. Then I went in the Marines and became a rifle range instructor. When I got out I stayed with shooting sports until about 10 years ago. Now I hope to stay active in shooting until I go through the Pearly Gates.

According to the serial number my rifle was made in 1976. The clerk at the gunshop where I bought this rifle just told me (2 days after I bought it) that this is only the second 39 A he has had come through this gunshop in 5 years. I still have not shot it but am anxious to take it to the range next week.
