The gun came out of a flood.

Some parts are surprisingly good but others are terrible. I'm having to do a major restoration; in some cases having to use a file to get rid of pits and keep faces flat.

There was mold in the stock and I've had to chase it pretty deep to fully remove it. I may get a new stock but will first try to save the original.

Since I'm having to go so far, I decided to take it to a "better than original" condition. I was surprised to see how good it was on the inside. I guess the water was limited to the outside or it was oiled pretty good on the inside and not the outside. Since it is turning out so good, I'm considering case hardening the receiver. what do you think about that?
