At the risk of sounding foolish (something I often do), can one convert an old model 94 to model64/legacy style (pistol grip) with just minor modifications or is it more complicated than it first seems?
I've always wanted a model 64 style 30-30 and could change out some parts on one of my 94's to get there....if it's possible. Can I just get a new lower legacy tang, legacy finger lever, legacy but stock, short magazine tube/spring etc. and get it to fit in a pre 64 94? Even if the old model 64 parts would have fit to an old 94, would the new legacy parts fit to an old 94? Have I over simplified something that is really easier said than done?
