I too, shoot mostly cast bullets, except for my .223. Never have tried 22 caliber casting. Besides for my .308, I cast for .38 special, .380, 9mm, .40, .44 magnum, and .45 ACP. Lately, it has been mostly for the .380 and .40, giving me plenty of practice ammo at a low price.

I have been very pleased with my .308 results. I think some folks would love to get that accuracy out of jacketed bullets. It seems what is most critical in my experience is consistent bullets. I weigh all of them and group them in 1 grain increments. I remelt any flawed bullets. SR4759 has worked well for me and I haven't tried any others except H4895 (I also use it for .223) and Trail Boss. I have had some good results with Trail Boss and 150 grain cast bullets.
