I've shot a 7.7 Jap for going on 30 years and you can buy Hornady loaded ammo or Norma brass. They cost about the same, the brass is of similar quality and you get to shoot the Hornady loads to fire-form them to your chamber.
Do yourself a favor and slug the barrel so you know what bullet diameter to use...it can vary quite a bit.
