Wood's decent though a bit loose at the right side of the wrist. Bore also looks fine. ALL of the blueing and case coloring is gone. Polished off, by the looks of it, without much knack for doing it properly. :( Hardly any rust, though, on the plus side. :) Deep-V buckhorn rear and standard drift-adj. post front.
Looks just like this one (http://www.usrac.com/prodinfo/catalog/detail.asp?cat_id=534&type_id=095&cat=002C)
That falling block action is neat, and this is a full-sized adult rifle. The new re-issue little Savage is too small for me.
These fellas just got it a bunch of estate guns of this era, and haven't caught their breath yet to price them all. Whaddya think a relic like this should go for?
