Hello everyone. Had to send my 336D back to Marlin for repairs, because it would not shoot straight,it shot way to the left with the sight in the middle of the barrel.I got a letter from Marlin yesterday saying they were going to replace the barrel and fix a couple of other things that I pointed out to them.Do you think when they replace the barrel they are going to put the 18.5" ported back on it? I wonder if they have any left over or will they have make it up special, because it was a limited run,I really don't believe they have the barrels laying around.I am going to call them to make sure the ported is going to be back on it.I figured I'd post here and ask you guy's what you thought.

They should replace/repair to production specification.

I can't imagine that Marlin would alter the configuration of your rifle. It was a bona-fide factory model, and I'm sure that it will return the same. I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, I'll wager to say that you'll be quite happily surprised at the "extras" that the service center does for you while it's in-house.
God Bless,

I hope you guy's are right.I have heard nothing but good reviews of Marlin's customer service, but never had to deal with them before.I really like that 336D model and if it comes back with some TLC added to it,it should be better than new.
