Good morning, all.
Was thinking about getting a Buffalo Classic for hunting/fun purposes for deer and other game. I live here in northern VA. What kind of game can you take with this round?
Also, what to pay (and where to find) this gun in my area?
Thanks and best,

Coop,
The Buffalo Classic in 45/70, is capable of taking any game in North America. It's main limitation is one of distance due to the rainbow arc of it's trajectory. It is fully capable of 800 yard shots, but limited by the shooters ability to calculate the extreme arc. I load 405 grain cast bullets for the 45/70 at 1700 FPS the point blank range given an 8" target size is about 168 yards. with the rifle zeroed at 143 yards. Hope this helps.

I just got one last month, paid about $300, sent from Oaklahoma to an FFL in my area. Fine rifle, I like it more every time I take it out. They are not real easy to find, I got mine here:

Was just browsing and saw this and reminded me of when I lived in Okla. and used to go to OKC and would drop by Outdoor America to pick up things. Its really to bad that there are not more of these stores across the US. Most gun shops can't match the prices of Outdoor America. Wish there was one here in San Antonio. Every gun store here has full retail prices and think they are giving you one **** of a deal if they give you a 10 or 20 dollar discount. Oh well so much for my rant. Wes
