The loading gate on my B92 broke halfway down the spring.
Can anyone help me locate a source for a B92 loading gate, here in Australia B92 parts are impossible to come by.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Peter,

Browning (Miroku) is making the 92's again in Japan for Winchester.
Have you tried contacting them?
http://www.browning.com/
If they don't have one, maybe try getting one for a current Winchester 92.
http://www.winchester-guns.com/homepage/index.asp
Then again there's Gun Parts Corp.
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/

I know these places are not in Australia, but they the only places I can think of off hand.

Hope this helps some.

The Browning website has a link for obsolete parts suppliers, I believe "midwest guns" in missouri has most of the Browning obsolete parts now, the link will tell you. You may be able to get the part Fed-Ex 'ed to you for a reasonable fee. The gate is under $20 US if I remember correctly(I bought some spare parts for mine) I'd recomend getting the gate screw (spare)as well, it's easily lost or stripped.

The place is www.midwestgunworks.com. They repaired my defective Browning 71 for a very reasonable price. I visited the site but they did not list parts for the B92, wouldn't hurt to check with them anyway. There is another parts supplier that handles 1895 parts and some others, in Canada I believe - search the Browning website.

I got my spare parts fromWestern gunparts in Edmonton AB Canada a few years ago, but when I contacted them recently they said they didnt have any browning parts left, and that midwestern gun works had made the high bid and had all the remaining browning obsolte parts. A loading gate, (or spring cover, I believe is the formal term Winchester uses) from one of the new winchester 92's should work fine, though I haven't tried one. They are made by the same company that made the Browning 92's.
