Hi guys, i've never reloaded the 30m1 carbine bullet always shot the factory stiff. Well now i have 1000 shells once fired and would like to reload them, would like to see what youguys had good results with, (powder, bullet size, etc.) did it or not improve acuracy.

My preferences are 110 grain full metal jacket or soft point bullets propelled by IMR4227. These loads functioned well and are reasonably accurate. All of the popular reloading manuals (Hornady, Lyman, Sierra and Speer) list various loads for the M1 Carbine. All the best...

For expanding bullets I like the various soft points which duplicate the shape of the 110 FMJ military bullets. Remington makes a good bullet of this design and they are available in bulk from sources like Widener's or Midsouth. Cast bullets shoot fine in my Inland so long as I stay with a round nose bullet design. Regarding powder, accuracy wise nothing I've tried has equaled H-110 in both my Marlin 62 lever action and my Inland carbine.

See the post on H108 vs WC820. Mention was made that WC820 may be the commercial equivlalent of the military m1 carbine powder..If I understood what I thought maybe I was reading... ;)
