I know what you mean.I bought a M92(LSI Puma) as well. The front sight is on the barrel.I have seen pictures and drawings of M92s with the front sight on the barrel band.Personally I don't think this matters a whole lot.As a matter of fact I would rather have it on the barrel. In my opinion the sights on mine are of little use.I have already bought a Lyman66 to go on the reciever.I now want to change the blade front sight.I'll wait untill I get the 66 on it to see what's best.I'm sort of leaning towards Firesights. That's if I can find one.I understand the Rossi(LSI Puma) has a unique dovetail. This may take some work.

Bonjour ChrisWildhunter,

I own a Rossi Puma stainless steel, chambered in .44 mag.(model 65 MI), bought in 1998, in France. The front sight is held by the barrel band, but the rear sight is held by a dovetail cut on the barrel. I did not know the model with the front sight right on the barrel, like yours. Maybe several variations exist for the same model. Ask the french importer: FRANKONIA, 18 rue du Château. 68190 Ensisheim. phone: 03 89 83 25 50. fax: 03 89 83 25 59.
