I don't know if you've seen these on the shelf yet but I think it is a pretty cool idea and wish others would considered it.

Hodgdon is packaging their more popular powders into Xperimental Packs (http://www.hodgdon.com/news/x-packs.php) that contain four different 4 oz. bottles of powders based on specific types of shooting needs. They have Hunter Rifle, Light Varmint, and Magnum Rifle.

Hi guys,
I think it`s the best idea since sliced bread.
I have around 6 or 7 cans of powder that didn`t work out in my loads. They are handy to have when developing a new load for a new calaber or rifle but thats money that can be better put to use for more bullets
4 powders for the price of one.Sounds like a winner to me.

I think Hodgdon has a great idea, too.
6 or 7 cans of powder laying around that didn't work out....yeah, got that, too.
I keep looking at Vihtavouri (sp?) powders, which they sell in 2 pound cans, not 1 pound cans. I'm too cheap to try the stuff- don't wanna have a 2 pound can of powder that didn't work out laying around...

Lets get the bullet people with the program.
At one time you could get some small packs of bullets to try out....now I gotta remember who....
Was it Nosler?

Rethinking it...4 powders, each powder to be tested with each of 4 bullet types...will need at least 10 shots per test and at least another 10 in working up from below....call it 50 of each bullet.

I passed through a gun shop in the nearest city and they had these X-Packs but not the Varmint Pack that I wanted. They are priced only a $1 more than a one pound container. Not bad, I thought they might ding you a bit more for the convience. They need to do it for the pistol powders also.
