I have been trying for a few days to order a green mountain barrel for my 10-22. I have tried calling green mountain dirrectly and ordering from them but am unable to speak with anyone to place an order. I have also tried to order from Stafford sales and he has had a back order for 4 months on the 18 and 20 inch barrels. I would like to find a dealer that has a barrel in stock. Does anyone know where i can get a new green mountain barrel ? Also what are your oppinions on barrel length? should i go with 18 or 20 inch. I know you develope most of your velocity in the first 16 inches or so and if shooting hyper velocity its 17-18in. but if i get the 20 will it help stabilize the round better? also does anyone know how to lighten the trigger on a 10-22 T or a savage mk II BV ? Thanks for your help guys its greatly appriciated.

have you looked over at www.rimfirecentral.com? they have the most 10/22 stuff i've found. good forum, but the sponsors should have them. i think cabela's had them in their last shooting catalog, too.

Yea, Stafford sales offers the cheapest prices on those barrels, I say if you can stand the wait stick with them.

Sorry guys i couldnt stand the wait so i ordered my new barrel from Natchez. I wish i could have got it from Stafford sales. Tom Stafford has taken the time to return long distance phone calls and guide me on barrel break in and trigger assemblies. I really appriciate his time and efforts. I have ordered a trigger and hammer from him. He has sent them priority mail and i should have it within 2-3 days. I would like to say thanks to stafford sales and Tom Stafford.
