Went to a large property on friday to sight the new rifle in and had no major problems except ejection problems.

The first 5 shots i fired through were winchester powerpoints and every empty case would not eject so i removed the mag slid the bolt in and down then uncocked it and slid the bolt back and the empty came out. I tried this will unfired ammo and they all ejected ok but when it came to my last 5 rounds for the day they all got jammed in the barrel has anyone else experienced this with the CZ 452 American?

It is not working right. I got a CZ Lux and have never had that problem. You might want to contact your dealer and let him know. He might replace the rifle. If that is not possible get hold of CZ and find out about sending it back for repair. Mine functions and shoots great and impresses me every day.

Took the rifle to the gun smith and he checked it out and same thing happened to him so i left it there and got a call the next day and he told me he replaced the ejectors and it now ejects the empty shells out without fail.

Bishop, common problem with these, have known of a few rifles to do this, it was the ejecters or the little ? feed ramp at bottom of chamber opening, came loose and drooped down a little.

Yeh not sure if the quality of machining is dropping or just one in a few not coming out right.

Finally got my 452 to the range yesterday. My oh my - I would load this thing with a ramrod and be happy, if it keeps shooting the way it does!!!!

Even after some load testing with my .458 and the resulting flinch-itis, this jewel was averaging right at half an inch for 5 shots, outdoors, in a pretty gusty wind.

I did 'cheat' a little and it wears a 4x12 AO Leupold.... but the factory rings are so high, that everything else looks funny :) And the adjustable-objective is very nice for the shorter ranges.

Makes the gun a bit top-heavy, and it slides around all over the bags, but the potential is there. Neat to realize how much your heartbeat pushes the gun around.....

I just took my new 452 american w/hvy barrel out. I put a Bushnell 2.5X10 elite 4200 on it that I had and was very impressed with the rifle. Trigger is great, no functional issues, well balanced, and incredibly easy to sight in being so consistent. Went from the 50yd target to the 100yd and did not have to change scope adjustments on iota.
