Hey guys, i found one of these over on www.auctionarms.com and i just love the look of it! It is in .30-30 with a 26" barrel and the full length stock, and musket sights. It is in about 98% condition and is going for $385ish. It seems like a fun whitetail gun. What do you all think of it? THanks.

Was a used on on the shelf about 12 years ago and I bought it..played with it...but other interrest lead to it's selling. Good rifle, that long barrel does eek-out a bit more velocity (you acutally get factory specs. in most cases..and in a few, a tiny bit more).
It's not the handiest thing to hunt with in deep cover, but no worse than most muzzle loaders and a LOT easier than any bow. It feels long...that wood adds weight and bulk. Still hunting or stand hunting, it would do well.
