Match Schedule
All results should be received by the end of September 2004.

League Registration
To register send an e-mail to me rimfirematch@aol.com requesting to be included and the shoot. Please include “rimfire match” or something similar so I don’t accidentally delete your e-mail.

Match Cost
As of now the match is for free, so there is no reason not to join. But if there is a large or growing interest in these matches, then a small fee of say $3.00 or so might be charged in the future in order for us to award prizes. The prizes would be distributed by a drawing and not related to participants scores.

Targets and Distances
The distance from the target should be set at 50 ft.

All targets used must be either official NRA targets or be designed to NRA specifications. Targets must match both the type of shooting and the distance.

50 foot slow fire: B-2
50 foot rapid: B-3

You must supply your own targets.

Match Procedures
Each match will consist of 10 shots fired at each individual target:

10 slow fire shots fired at slow fire target B2 – 2 handed
10 rapid fire shots fired at rapid fire target B3 – 2 handed
10 slow fire shots fired at slow fire target B2 – 1 handed
10 rapid fire shots fired at rapid fire target B3 – 1 handed
The total possible points for one match is 400.

Procedure for slow fire targets:
Fire ten shots in ten minutes at the target.

Procedure for rapid-fire targets:
Fire five shots in 10 seconds at the target.
Reload and fire five more shots in 10 seconds at the same target.

A Range Officer or other helper, and a suitable timing device should be used to time your 10-second strings.

Procedures in Case of Defective Cartridge, or Malfunction.
In the event of a defective cartridge, disabled pistol, or malfunction, the shooter should re-shoot the event. If a jam acures in the slow fire event and the shooter has enough time to clear the jam and continue shooting they may still use that target as an entry but no extra time should be awarded to clear the malfunction.

Submitting Scores
The shooter may score his/her own target and e-mail me rimfirematch@aol.com directly the results. Please write “match results” in the title line of your e-mail to prevent them for being accidentally deleted. You say 1 handed and 2 handed, is that standing up and shooting offhand or over a rest, etc?

Offhand...
I didn't think about shooting from a rest. Would you be interested in that? maybe we can include that in the next shoot. Sign up! we need more shooters!
