Hi,
I've buyed a new winchester a Big bore XTR 375win. top eject from 1978. I' ve many caliber but i was very happy to found the first bb375 , i try it, the caliber seem very interesting. The problem is that i found "too play" in the long hand lever . The win was never firing and it's like a new there is no one scatch on the woods and all the metal parts are like new.
What do you think about that.
Thanks.

Congratulations, Chris - sounds like you have found a nice rifle.

The slack or "waggle" in the lever of the Mod 94 is just one of those things with lever guns. Don't be alarmed by it. Shoot and enjoy. The .375 Win is a fine moderate range cartridge with lots of thump.

Thanks !
I've reducted a little the slask of" waggle" . But i think that the .375 is a great caliber i've shooted winchester 200gr ammos manufactured by winchester but i' ve reload somes with 300 gr. bullets it's great.
I don't understand why this caliber is falling forgeted and why there is only one manufacturer.

Chris...

I know you have been shooting the Marlins and I know that when I compare the two brands, my Winchester's lever linkage seems a little looser than the Marlins.

I just purchased a 375 Marlin and I'm looking forward to shooting it this week.
