My sheep hunting preparation saga continues. After my BLR in .308 blew up on me I picked up an NEF Lightweight in .243 and was considering taking it and my Guide Gun -- or possibly my BLR in .358. But now my publisher has stepped up and given me his BLR in 7mm-08. I used this rifle a little this past March in Texas on a hog hunt after having mechanical problems with the Guide Gun. Of course, this is a dandy caliber for bighorn sheep and I've ordered dies, brass, and some 139-grain Hornady Interlocks. But, I am open to other load suggestions. This is a new caliber for me.

Heck of a gift! I was sorry to hear about your BLR blowing up on you. I just got mine back from browning and going to the range tommorow with it. I almost bought a 7mm-08. Just figured there would be more availble factory ammo with the .308 and more room to load up and down once I start reloading. Wish I had some load suggestions for ya, just wanted to say good luck with your hunt and I'm glad your gonna have the chance to tag one with a shortaction BLR.
