I have a 336 marlin that I have had rechambered to a 307 win.I was wondering how many here have one? And if you do do you reload for it?I just can't find a lot of reload data out there for it.I also can't find much on my 356 win.I have the speer #12 and #13 They are the only two manuals I have that even list the 356 caliber. And they have very little on the 307 win.The data I have on these two calibers don't give me much to work with. Can anyone give me the names of a few reloading manuals that would help me out with these two calibers.I have 14 reloading manuals all together,But it is a waste of time and money for me to keep buying manuals that don't have what I need in them.
Thanks for any help you can give me..

The fourth eddition Hornady lists loads for the 307 for both 150 and 170 grain loads, but nothing on the 356. Loading data for the 307 is 5% below the 308 win, so I am assuming that the 356 will be at least that below the 358 win. You might try www.accuratereloading .com for more information, as I would hesitate to use 358 informationfor basic loads.

The powder manufacturers are good sources of load data. Hodgdon.com has .307 loads in 150 & 180 gr in 7-8 powders, and .356 loads in 200 & 250 gr in a half-dozen.
Let us know how you like your rifles.
The current Hodgdon manual (#27) and the Accurate Arms manual (#2) both have loading data for both cartridges.

The Speer Number 11 manual has three pages of loads for both the .307 and .356 Winchester.
Contact me if you can't find one and I will email you these pages. The same goes for anyone else in need of this information.

Deerdown444,
What bullet weight are you thinking for your 356 Win.? Like you, I have used the Speer 11 and 12. for this caliber...also RCBS's cast bullet info. Mic McPherson has the 356 listed in his Metallic Cartridge Reloading and he provides 250 Gr. bullet info. Very little pressure data is ever given, which drives me nuts. Let me know on the bullet weight and I'll see what I can come up with. If your talking cast, I do have some good loads.

I was thinking of useing the 200 or 220 gr. bullet for the 356 win. .And I would like to find something on a 180 gn. rn. For the 307 win.
Thanks
Try the 170 Nosler Partition in the 307, and some AA2520 powder.

deerdown444,
If you send me your mailing address via email on this site, I will mail Mic McPherson's pages to you. I am too afraid of making a typo so will send you actual copies. I have used the Speer data for most of my loads, excepting the reduced loads from RCBS's Cast Bullet load manual. Here are some loads given by Marshall about 3 years back on the forum, but for Cast Bullet only. If I remember correctly these are MAX and must be reduced to work up to. :
BTB .359"-210g LFNGC/50.0g H335/WLRP/Win Brass/2310 fps
BTB .359"-210g LFNGC/47.3g IMR 4895/WLRP/Win Brass/2446 fps.
BTB .359"-210g LFNGC/40.8g H4198/WLRP/Win Brass/2487
fps
I have used about 42 Gr. of IMR 4320 with the above Beartooth bullets with great results. Should be about 2200 fps, but I don't own a chrony. I am goind to try some of that H335 when I get a chance.
Take care and let me know. Chris

Take a look at the load books, They're essentially all the major bullet/powder manufacturers load data for a for particular caliber compiled into one book. There is one for the .356/358 Winchester. They're about $7 on midwayusa.com.

There is no shortage of good load data for the .307. You have the Speer #13. Get Hodgdon's Annual load book or their big book. Hornady has data in their book. Don’t overlook RCBS Load, This program has almost every load book ever printed in it now.
For starters 40.0 grains of IMR 4064 is hard to beat with the 170 grain Speer bullet. This load is good for about 2325fps and is a real deer load.
40.0 grains of IMR 4895 pushes the same 170-grain Speer bullet to 2450fps and is a good load in my rifle.
Between 41.0 and 43.0 grains of Hodgdon Varget there is a good accurate load for the 170-grain Speer or Sierra. This load will give a little over 2400fps and is accurate. This is an easy powder combination to shoot good groups with.
Take a close look at Alliant Reloader 15 and the 170-grain bullets. Again, between 41.0 and 43.0 grains of RL 15 there will be a good load combination for you. The top loads are good for 2450 fps.
The bulk Remington 150 grain bullets perform well with between 43.0 and 44.5 grains of Alliant Reloader 15. This range gives me between 2550 and 2575 fps. A narrow range but accurate and powerful.
40.0 grains of Hodgdon Benchmark pushes the 150-grain Barnes-X to 2550fps and notable accuracy in my rifle.
The same 40.0 grains of Benchmark gives the bulk Remington 150-grain bullet 2525fps and good accuracy.
Don’t overlook the remarkable Speer 130-grain flat point bullet. 44.5 grains of IMR 4064 is the load in my rifle. This gives 2625fps and excellent accuracy.
