Well it took awhile, I finally finished my sighting in on the range.
I'm loading 290 LFNGC .432 / 52.1 gns. RL-7.
This is Marshalls load from load swap.
I did stop at .9 grns shy of max as listed.
I'm here to tell you this is one heck of a load.
Without fire lapping yet I was able to obtain 1&3/4'' groups at 100 yds. from bench rest. This is 3 shot group.
I was totally impressed with the load and gun.
Deer season opens up on Saturday....
I have a Bushnell 1.5-4.5 Banner.
Thanks to Marshall and Ranch Dog with their Tech Tips.
It took 4 shoots to achieve my goal.

Good Luck!!

Isn't it nice when things go well at the range? That's some pretty good shooting, Bambi better learn how to burrow or he's in trouble!

Is the scope on the receiver or mounted farther forward?

Good luck this year. Even if you never see a deer, spending a cool morning in the brush with a Marlin is a great passtime!

Papajohn428,

It is mounted on the reciever with a Weaver Base and Rings.
I still can't believe that I was so lucky.

Good luck
