If anyone paid any attention to the postal match, you know I got close to a .5 inch out of a 30-30 CB. This is an exceptional gun and it is not made anymore. I was looking for a 24 inch 336A, and this is what I ended up with. I got mine nearly a year ago from a shop about an hour from where I live. Turns out they have another. They are asking 609$, but really shot me a great deal. I would bet the house they would do that for someone else. Anyone wanting their phone, give me a PM.

Tempting........but I'd better not. My 38/55 CB could get a complex. Besides I'll be working up some new loads for it for next year :)

Let's watch out Big Medicine because he's trying to get us sucked into believing that it's the gun, when we really know it's the shooter.
Seriously, I'm tempted too but this retirement leaves little play money for major non-essential purchases. I also happen to know where there is a 24" Cowboy in 44 Mag for $469 which I can't get. Thanks to Dr. A for keeping us in mind because these 30-30 CB's are really drying up.

I actually thought about buying it and packing it back somewhere else, but that just isn't my style. There is a 356 calling my name anyway. My guns always can count on getting shot quite a bit.
How many shots in the almost .5 inch group ? JAGG

JAGG,
Dr. A probably doesn't want to brag so I'll tell you - five (5) shots in that group. Demoralized me so bad I just cleaned my 30-30 and put it away.
