I was especially impressed by the bison taken with a single shot from the 56/56 Spencer rifle. Complete shoulder penetration at 60 yrds using 43 grs. FFG and a 392 grain bullet. Don't know what the velocity would be, but it couldn't be very much - under 1000 fps, maybe.

Guess my eyes are going - had an awful time trying to read the print.

And here I've been told that the .357 Mag was too light for anything over the size of a coyote. Ha!
