I have a 99M in excellent condition. I cannot find a reference for it at any site. Anyone know anything about the 99M. What is it worth? Thanks
Try this:

A Google search gives some results of 99Ms for sale...

I'm guessing this is your rifle:

Thanks for the information. Yes, the picture is my rifle except mine looks in much better condition. The savage.com site is good and it lists every model except the 99M!!! I am told that the M is a very rare model and still hope to find someone who knows about it.

If it's OK with Marshall, I can recommend 24 Hour Campfire forums. They have a Savage collectors forum. I think they can help you. Adios.

This is just a shot in the dark, pitch dark actually but , the "m" might have been a model sold through retail outlets of some sort, and not cataloged by Savage (?).

This link is to the 24 Hour Campfire Savage forum. Quite a few folks over there collecting Savages. Might drop in and ask them if you don't get your answer here.

Thanks for posting that link. Someday I plan to learn how to do that!

I don't know much about the 99's, but I bought one in .358 a while back and it was marked 99M, so I did some reading and somewhere someone said the "M" merely meant it had a montecarlo stock, which mine did. Hope this helps if you haven't found out anything, yet.
