Hello, Does anyone have a synthetic stock for a Browning BLR '81? Or do you know a company that makes them? I have a chance at buying this BLR (7mm-08) at a good price. I plan on making it my #1 deer rifle. So I will be using it hard. I thought synthetic would be the best way to go. I am not crazy over the high gloss finish on the present stock.
Thank you!

I have a black synthetic stock for the steel frame, short action BLR'81. Email me for details.

Nitro, The seller told me that it is not a '81. It is an older model with a pistol grip stock. I guess only the '81 has has the cowboy style straight stock.

A friend of mine just sent his out and had it CAMO'd. I wasn't so sure about it until I saw it. I think it turned out awesome,

I am considering getting my old model steel frame BLR blasted to get a matte finish and then reblued to get rid of the shininess. I reckon a laminated stock would be great.

Thanks for the ideas. The high gloss finish, surely is not my favorite. As for the straight stock or pistol grip, I could probably just change the lever to acomadate which ever synthetic stock I get for it.
