While trying out my new 1894C for the first time the action seemed a little rough. Looking it over I found that the face of the hammer had rough tool marks so I stoned it smooth. Also, the lump under the bolt that depresses the hammer on cocking had a burred leading edge so I stoned it smooth.
Now it's noticeably slicker and quieter. A few hundred cycles may have had the same effect, but I have it noe instead of later.
