I can comment to the Forster Ultraseat Die, the one with the micrometer built into it. I use it to load 25-06. It's holds the bullet and case in super close alignment and I get good quality handloads. Runout is not a problem. The only thing I don't like about it is the plunger that engages the bullet to seat it is flat, that means it engages the tip of the bullet instead of the ogive. It would be a better die if it had a recess on the plunger that engaged the body of the bullet.

I have a Forster die set for my 308. As far as I am concerned it is no better or worse than dies from any other manufacturer including Lee dies. I think I have dies from every manufacturer that has existed. They all work well. I one time bought a die set for my 45 Colt from one of the biggest die mfgs. it would size the shells down so much when I loaded the slugs in them they looked goofy. I miked the cases and found they had marked the die meant for a 44 Mag with a 45 Colt stamp. Nobody is perfect, including dies. Unless you are deeply into target compitition there is no need to buy the best dies on the face of the earth (read expensive).

My suggestion would be to stick with carbide sizing dies. Several excellent brands of die sets are available. My first choices would be Redding and RCBS. Look for lack of aluminum parts, lockable seating rings, and soundness of mfr. reputation.

Bought a set of 220 Swift Forster dies about 15 yrs ago. Sizer did not size correctly. Round was difficult to chamber in my rifle. I have been reloading for 30 yrs now. The seating die would put a "ring" around the tip of the ogive of the bullet. Overall satisfaction was poor. Bought a set of Redding 220 and everything was fine and dandy.

You probably won't be able to find carbide in a rifle die, (at least in a price most of us can afford) I have never owned any forster dies, but the RCBS's that I own are good, most of them are from the 70's that I bought used off of ebay
