I full length sized some new .375 Winchester brass. My dies is a three piece set by RCBS. I have two questions.
1. After full length resizing the cases, I ran them through the expander\flaring die. After this step the mouth of the case was not visably expanded like they would be on my 45-70 cases. I could not adjust the expander\flaring ball any deeper without getting a too lage bell on the case mouth. I'm thinkng that when I seat the bullets I'll crush the case. Does this sound familar or is something wrong?
2. I tried to use a Lee case trimmer to trim cases to length. The mouth of the cases would not go over the timmer shaft far enough to engage the cutters. When I tried to force the issue the case was stuck on the trimmer shaft. I've never had this happen with any other calibers and the Lee trimmers.
Any advise would be appreciated.

I can't help you with 1), I don't own any RCBS dies. I do handload for 45-70 and the straight wall case should go through the same process steps; size, flare, seat, crimp
You might contact RCBS and tell them what is going on. I use Hornady New Dimension dies on my 45-70 but I am looking to replace them with Redding for various reasons. But, I am keenly interested in the Lyman M-Die Expander.
Regarding 2) measure the length of your brass and compare it to the SAMMI standard (see if you are short of the maximum length) and measure the length of your LEE Trimmer. I have had LEE Trimmers that I had to shorten the stem to get it to cut to the proper length or at least within the acceptable limits. I have two LEE Trimmers for my 300 Win Mag, one "short" and one "long" for different length cases. Both lengths are within the SAMMI standards, they just cover the extremes. My gun doesn't seem to notice any difference whether the case is short or long.
In the case of the trimmer, were you trying to trim sized cases? The Lee trimmer may be designed to trim cases after firing but before sizing.
With the RCBS dies ( I have them in 375W) try a bullet in the cases that don't appear to be belled enough. If the bullet base is clearly too big to go in without scraping, you should be able to adjust the stem in the belling die down gently, a little at a time until you get the amount of bell you want.
I wonder if you're expecting to see a very pronounced flare at the case mouth- which may not be needed. A little experimentation with bullet seating after different amounts of flare should tell you whether something's wrong or not.

Jack,
I did as you suggested and seated a bullet in a case that I had expanded and belled slightly. It seated fine.
I had tried to trim the cases ater sizing and expanding. I have no fired cases to try yet.
thanks,
james
