I thought I did run across a .17 liner...will have to check back as I wasn't interrested at the time. Of course, the .17M2 would be the only real choice for a .22LR action, and bottle neck reamers aren't nearly as cheap as stright cased .22LR reamers...add in the drill (or drills depending on how you do it) so it would run into a few bucks to reline.

And from what I've read, are having some problems getting reliable semi-auto functioning with the little .17M2 without folling around with slide weight and spring tension...but think that could be worked out.

BARREL LINER INSTRUCTION BOOK - Details the systems used by gunsmiths Bob Schuetz, Willis Sprunger and Ralph Walker. Walker used a variable speed hand drill and ACRAGLAS to hold the liner in. Schuetz solders the liner in place. Sprunger extended a regular bit, drilled the hole in a lathe and bonded with ACRAGLAS. Instructions FREE, not included. This system works very well, is simple to do and makes shooters out of guns that would normally end up as wall hangers. I've not done any 17's, but a bunch of .22's and I like the acra-glass as it is easier to do than the solder method.
