IM thinking of putting a leather velcro or lace up Kick Killer recoil pad on my Marlin 35rem, are they good and do they make the rifle look stupid?

I have one on my 336SC (35 Rem) that I'm doing the pressure trace testing with. They are a good pad and I think the lace up has a great look to it. I also have one on a Win 94 in 30-30. Both of these are actually pretty hard kickers because they are so light and the pad does a great job.

The pad that is at my local shop is the brown leather w/ velcro not lace. I was thinking of getting that one 'cause Im going shooting this weekend and dont have time to order a lace one. Is that a big deal or are they alot alike?

VTDW... It look a little cooler with the lace ends sent back through the lace lineup and out. I will attach some picture later tonight.

Does the lace up pad add appreciably to the LOP? If so I may get one as will.

Where, Midway?
