i just bought 22. cal long rimfire bullits for my savage model 1909. the problem is they wont fit in to the barrel. the gun reads "22. cal s.l. & l.r." if that helps, i was told to clean the barrel from another message board i did but you can clearly see it is not from dirt even when i stick it in the other end you can see it wont fit. the bullits are .22 thunderbolts rimfire. thank you for your help

As far as the letters on your gun

s is for short
l is for long
lr is for long rifle
