I saw in the 2002 Win. catalog that the mod. 94 is now available in the 480 Ruger cartridge. *This seems to be an alternative to the higher pressure 454 that many are desiring in a compact lever gun.

Are they out yet? Does anyone have one?

We hashed through this a while back and I thought that it was reported that Winchester dropped this, and none were actually produced?

Mike, I have also heard that Winchester has decided to say "all systems go" with the .480 Ruger. I hope the source of  my information is credible. The gentleman told me that Winchester had abandoned the project, but they decided to go ahead due to the seeming popularity of the cartridge.
