I am just about to order a Marlin 336SS. I have a Marlin 1894 in .357 and one of the many things I love about it is that the bolt can be removed for cleaning from the breech. Is the 336 the same? Thanks. - Mykal

Mykal,
Yes the bolt can be removed to clean from the breech. I was going to attach a pdf file of the owners manual, but the file is too large for the forum limit. Anyhow, when you get your rifle, it will have the owners manual in it, and it details how to remove the bolt and clean from the breech end.
Here ya go.
