I just bought a RCBS Chargemaster 1500. The instructions talk about using anti-static spray to help with the static problem. This seems a little messy to me. Does anyone have a better idea? How about the anti-static pads they use when building computers? Would this hold down the static? How about a strap of some sort to draw the static away? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, everyone. I haven't used anything in mine and have had no real problems with static. The only time powder sticks is a little on the sides when I empty it. I brush them off and am done.

I remember reading that using a dryer sheet to wipe down the items will help. I haven't tried this yet but plan to the next time I'm loading.
LOL,
I tried a Bounce static sheet on my funnel and pan. NEVER AGAIN!!! It left an awful film that the powder stuck to. Maybe I shold have wiped it off after applying it. I sure did after running powder thru them. Oh well.

Use the Bounce anti-static sheets on anything plastic in my gunroom that can attract powder or dust. Works great! 'Course, I use the ones my wife has run through the dryer once with the clothes. Maybe that makes the difference! :D
Keep several used ones stashed on the bench in case I notice "static cling" developing on anything.
Uh-Oh,
Common sense wins out again! I shall try used Kdub. :o

Though a considerable fan of RCBS equipment, I have mixed feeling about this product. I had one of the early ones and found that I was getting both over and under weights. Sometimes the difference between what I wanted and what I got was substantial.
RCBS replaced the unit with a new one. I've never even plugged it in.
Now I don't remember the exact details of what exactly was wrong but, well, there were problems.
If you are going to use one of these things, for awhile I'd weight the thrown charges on a second electronic balance just to be sure you are getting what you think.
Though it probably isn't related, the only time I ever blew a handgun up I was using this powder system.

Thanks everyone, I'll try the used sheets like kdub suggested. KLW, I haven't seen any real large differences in weights, only .01 grains more or less. Thanks again to everyone, great forum, great people. Larry

Use a metal pan rather than a plastic one.
