The last 6 months or so I caught leveritz and lever guns have been following me home. Most recently a .44mag and a 45 colt followed me home. I have never loaded for either and am looking forward to casting bullets and loading them. Can anybody give me some ideas on good molds and loads for these since they followed me home and now must be fed????

I have a large number of molds for may various .45LCs, but one of my favorites is the Lee 255 RF. This is an inexpensive mold yet it delivers great bullets. The design is a large meplat with rounded ogive and it gives excellent feeding in my M94 Trapper. The big flat point enhances killing power on small game without needing high velocity. It is a short bullet with a long bearing surface for its length, enhancing potential accuracy. It makes a short loaded round and fills the case for better loading density too. Used with Unique, BlueDot or IMR4227 it has performed very well for me on paper and game; I use LBT "Magnum" lube. It even has a relatively high (for a handgun) BC of .210......
