Sept 1 marks a big day in most of S.C. Although some folks in the state are shooting deer with the gun soon. Most of us have Sept. 1 as our day for the return to the field. In the midlands buck deer can be taken Sept.1 and the traditional dove shoot happens on the 1st Sat. of Sept. This presents a delima for people like me that live in the upstate but deer hunt in the midlands. I have to decide wheather the dove shoot is my fancy or the deer stand suits me better since lagistics prevents both in the same day unless I want to drive 4 hours before noon and then set in the dove field till the dove fly at sunset.

I think I will just dove hunt that day and forget the deer for a week. Oh the problems of living in S.C.

Sounds like the best plan. With one of the longest deer seasons available, they can wait.
