i am looking to trade a lowrance I finder plus for a single stage press. a guy has a jr2 like new he wants to trade.
this will be my first press as i am just starting. will be
loading 6mm rem 257 bob 30.06 300 win mag
should i take the deal or wait for something better?
how good is this press being an older one?
open to suggestions

I bought mine in 1968 and I haven't worn it out yet. It doesn't have quite as much leverage as a Rockchucker so you need a bit more case lube. It't a god press for a 1000 or less rounds a year. If you get it give me a holler and I'll give you a few operating tips. Be sure it's got the primer catcher, priming arm and both primer seaters.

Give some thought to Lee's Anniversery kit. Well under a hundred bucks and you get the press, powder measure, powder scale, reloading manual and basicilly everything but the dies.

I've been using mine for a bunch of years now and load rifle cases from the 204 ruger to the 8mm Rem mag with no trouble.
