Anyone have any experience with PMC brass? I found some brand new for the 35 Remington and it's $20 for 100....about half of what Winchester brass is.

Hi there,
The PMC that I've had experience with was with pistol cartridges, and it has been just fine. I would suppose the rifle brass would be alright as well.
JR
Have loaded a bunch of it in .223 Rem. Never a problem. Seems on equal with W-W and Rem.
My only experience also, has been with pistol PMC brass. I few years back, I probably had a 1000 rounds of .45 ACP brass that I reloaded multiple times. The only problem I ever had (if you can call this a problem) was that the brass was thicker than any Rem or Win brass I ever used. When using a Lee factory crimp die, it really squeezed it down again because the brass was so thick. Never had a bullet slip or jump though. Finally gave the brass to a friend who was needing some brass and somehow that stuff just seems to multiply in my workshop.

Great prices, Win. Fed. Rem. can't compete.

I thought I'd read somewhere that PMC is out of business? Anyone know for sure?
I bought a pile of Winchester .35 Remington brass when the supply got tight a couple of years ago. It was short and I had to trim to 1.900". Accuracy is off with it compared longer Remington brass and I suspect the seating depth is critical in my rifle.

Thanks for all the replies...Jack I'm looking at it for a Marlin 336, do you think it's worth it for me for the 35 Rem or should I just get Win or Rem brand?

If it's half price I'd grab it. I got a little too excited when Remington stopped selling bulk .35 Remington brass and grabbed up more Winchester than I really needed. That was before I found it was below the trim-to length.

Have fired quite a lot of it in .45 ACP, .45 Colt, 9 mm and 7.62x39. Like the others have said, it's noticeably thicker than domestic brass. Seems to work just as well in handguns but may have a slightly shorter lifespan due to casemouth splits. Have had no problems with it in the rifle.

I haven't heard. Their web site is still up, but is still offering the 2005 catalog for download, which isn't a good sign. The thing may be to give them a call and ask?
