I went on a guided hog hunt with my fatherenlaw about 2 weeks ago we brought home two piggies. We have decided that both of us want to get back into huniting. How do I go about finding a hunting lease. I do not want to hunt public land, way too many people. I live in the Tampa bay area (florida) I am hopeing to find a lease with a 2 hour drive preffereably under an hour because i will be freequenting the land. I would like to beable to hunt hog year round and take a deer or two during the season. I know some land owners preffer that you do not use rifles because of livestock. That is OK with me I will use a shotgun or a handgun. I tried to serch on the net for hunting leases and all I cam up with was one that wants just under 10K a year. That is way out of my price range.
Anyway any help would be much appriciated.

Zapzoo,
I live in St Pete and have been looking for the same thing. If I find something I'll let ya know but from what I hear it's pretty rare here.

They have a very liberal hunting season and bag limits and public lands for hunting.
Put the money that you would have spent - in a lease into a hunting cabin or motel fee's and start your own hunt club.
Get a couple of your friends and relatives together and go around and look for places to hunt and people that owns large tracts of land - like a farmer and offer him some money or part of the harvest in return for letting you hunt on his property.
My brother Steve does eminence work down there for Siemens and says that he saw deer there all the time.
The people are glad to see you and happy to have you put money back into their economy.
