The year was 2003. The target was a 3x5 card. The Marlin Talk Forum was still going strong.

There are some familiar names you will see as you look through the submitted targets.

I wonder whatever happened to 1897/336? He posted a number of times in the old Marlin Talk Forum regarding group shooting with his .30-30 at 200 yards.

Thanks to Greg Mushial the results of this historic event can still be seen at:

A BIG THANK YOU to Ranch Dog for his inspiration and hard work to start and keep this event going since 2003 and hopefully, for many more years to come!

Now I need to quit procrastinating and shoot a few targets to get them sent in before the deadline!!

John,

Thanks for the link! I had forgot that Greg has had this information posted since that time. Okay fellows, NO MORE WHINING or you will have to shoot at 3X5 cards! My little Post Office got a kick out of those cards arriving!

I've been putting together some historical stuff from the match and this is a good page to reference!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, John. I procrastinated that first year and didn't get any cards shot. As many postal targets as Big Med has shot over the years, you'd think he'd be good at it by now :p :D .

Oh Yeah!!! I absolutely hated that card with the diagonal X. I chased holes round and round that card/s. Grrrrr

No more whining for me RD. :D

I think one of the greatest things that the PM has taught me is what a sorry shot I am! I have spent the following years getting real good at sneaking up on critters for a close shot and have been very successful at that!

It is also quite apparent most of us have become much better shots because of the PM.
