Does anyone know where I can find a magazine for an Ithaca LSA 55 in .243 caliber?
--I just tried one for a Tikka (short-action) and it is too wide and too long to be modified to fit. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Have you tried Numrich Arms? Here's the link.

I've tried them, and they don't carry that particular magazine. If I had time I could make one. The Tikka mag has the right basic shape and height and would make a good model to compare with. The width could be fitted, but the length is my real worry.

Try Ron Sharp of Sharp Guns in Dunnville, Ontario Canada. Ron took over all the parts and gunsmith work from Ithaca and SKS, when they closed the Dunnville operation in Canada. His phone number is 905-774-6368.

I have an LSA Deluxe in .308 and hear the mags are hard to come by.

They are listed here for $65 each. Here: http://www.hoosiergunworks.com/catalog/magazine_rifle.html

I gave up and traded it for a Browning pistol.
