Can anyone supply instructions to strip a Browning A-Bolt bolt down to expose the firing pin? The Browning manual dosen't explain it.
Thanks.

A 13/64 drill bit or pin will fit in the hole of cocking indicator were the safety pin engages. Pull back on that to relief spring pressure while unscrewing the bolt shroud. The firing pin is held to the cocking indicator with a roll pin.
To reassemble reverse proceedure.
If you have to remove the firing pin there is a second hole in it further to the front to allow a 1/16 pin to be inserted to wind the spring into a compressed condition.

Thanks. I hunt in wet weather around 3 C or 35 F a lot and if I can't get the grease/oil out of the bolt/firing pin I have experienced misfires, dented primer but no ignition. Thanks again.
