Does anyone know if a Ruger M77 MKII barrel will fit Ruger#1's even with slight mods or are they totally different?:confused:

Mine have the same OD at the front of the receiver, but I'd go right to Ruger on the phone to get the absolute correct response.

You also could check with Brownell's tech section, they sell barrels for both along with both the actions.

The #1 has a different extractor cut in the barrel (the extractor pivots below the barrel and seats into a cutout in the barrel.)

Don't know about thread sizes though.
