I was the successful bidder for this nice Remington Model 12C offered on Gunrunner Auctions last week. I have not has a chance to shoot it yet. It is at the gunsmiths for a thorough check up.

What a classic looking little Remington signalman. Don't know what kind of weather you guys are getting, but it was 50 degrees out here today and the sun was out. I almost broke out the 22's to do some plinking. Took a ride up the Clearwater river about 40 miles to visit some friends instead, gosh what a pretty day.

Actually we are having a wierd winter in NE Ohio. We have had a foot of snow twice, temps as low as zero followed by warm rainey weather. It's 50 degrees and raining hard tonight. Tomorrow it will be in the 30's with snow...strangest winter I have ever seen, and I have seen 66 of them.

Its not good shooting weather so I reluctanly use the indoor range which is only 25 yards with a lot of restirctive rules. About the end of March I hope to have a few good shooting days here and there. You can't count on decent weather until June as Lake Erie acts as a season retarder. It's a huge heat synch. As a result Spring is usually late, cold, and wet while Fall is often pleasent and beautiful.

I shoot one of the little CZ 452 bolt guns and am just itching to get out and do some plinking. Our nearest range is a big gravel pit on the South side of the hill and if it isn't raining tomorrow am going to burn up a couple of hundred rounds of 22 ammo out there. I take a bunch of pop cans and perforate them. The recycler takes them with holes in them just as easy as no holes.

What a neat little rifle. My cousin had one of these when we were growing up. The weather is just a wierd here in Louisiana. 25 degrees the day before yesterday and 68 yesterday. The sun came out yesterday and I wanted to go shooting but had to finish the bathroom remodeling job. Maybe my wife will let me slip off next weekend.
