I found a new in the box, 9417(or 9422) in .17hmr. It is a legacy model. Does anyone have any idea of the accuracy of this combination? I want it but I would like to a be able to head shoot a groundhog at 80 to 110 yards. Any help would be appreciated.

The .17HMR is a capable cartridge for that and the rifle is capable of that accuracy. I would need a scope. Maybe you won't.

Think both are capable, but surely get a good scope.
