HELLO! has anyone tried the Timney triggers to replace the stock triggers? I have a 452 Varmint model I was thinking of trying one on. if so, how did it perform for you as compared to the stock trigger? I know lots of folks have had good luck with the Brooks Kits. Thanks for any info! :)

The Brooks kit worked great for me on my 452 American. Can't beat it for $14!

Can't beat it for $14! well, I put the Timney in and, as far as getting a light pull, forget it! i've tried everything but can not get it below a (safe) 3 pounds. has no creep, and breaks cleanley but, I sure was dissapointed when I could not get my 2 pound goal! guess I should have got a brooks kit also. :(

My Brooks kit breaks at 1.5 pounds just like ice. Bet your Timney cost more than the 14 bucks the brooks kit is.

My son and I both have varmints in .22lr.
We bought a Brookes trigger kit for £12.50 (25 bucks), my son used the lightest spring and I used the next lightest, both rifles finished up as we wanted them and we sold the rest of the kit for £7.50 (15 bucks).
Only 1 rifle needed the creep attending to, the other being ok out of the box.

I just put a little elbow grease into mine. Good enought to get a gorundhog at 100 yards tonight.
